Prescription Refill Policy – Love and Humble Medical Care

Ensuring patients have timely access to necessary medications is a priority. To provide safe, efficient, and consistent prescription management, the following refill policy applies:

Refill Request Guidelines

✔ Requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the medication runs out to allow time for processing.
✔ Controlled substances require an office visit before refills can be approved. No early refills or automatic renewals will be issued for these medications.
✔ Medication changes or new prescriptions will require an in-person or telehealth consultation.
✔ Pharmacy requests are processed during business hours only. Requests made over weekends or holidays will be addressed on the next business day.

How to Request a Refill

🔹 Option 1: Contact Your Pharmacy – The fastest way to request a refill is through your pharmacy, which will send an electronic request to our office.
🔹 Option 2: Patient Portal – Submit a refill request online through our secure patient portal.
🔹 Option 3: Call Our Office – If additional assistance is needed, contact our office at [Insert Contact Number].

Refill Denial or Delay

  • Missed Appointments: If a follow-up visit is required, refills may be delayed until the appointment is completed.

  • Expired Prescriptions: If the prescription is expired, a medical review may be needed before approval.

  • Non-Compliance or Safety Concerns: Refills may be denied if there are safety concerns, potential medication misuse, or failure to follow prescribed treatment plans.

Emergency Refills

If an emergency refill is needed outside business hours, contact your pharmacy to check for temporary supply options or visit an urgent care facility if necessary.
